It's your pwnful mod, Inachus here so I'm making an FAQ for all your wondering questions.
Question 1: What is His Dark Materials? His Dark Materials is a book series by Philip Pullman. It consists of three books and a few add-ons. Dark Materials is a fan tribute to the awesome series.
Question 2: What is a daemon? A daemon is like your soul, your other half of you. It can be named anything you want and it can be any animal. If you can't decide what to make your daemon there's a board for daemons.
Question 3: What, I'm only a moth? Not to worry, the more you post the more you'll gain new ranks. As you gain new ranks your daemon can frow stronger and finally settles into a leopard. Of course though your daemon can be anything it doesn't have to be a moth or a leopard, those are just ranks. The ranks are as follows:
Moth: 0-49
Mouse: 50-99
Rabbit: 100-249
Fox: 250-499
Jackal: 500-699
Leopard: 700+
Unless of course you become a mod like me then you get a speical rank.
Question 4: What do you mean by literate?
Literate means to use proper grammar and speak in complete sentances. Most grammar mistakes are acceptable and spelling mistakes are too. Let me put this in simple terms as my friend would say: U tlk 2 me leik dis, and you get banned. Basically talk like a normal human being don't talk like you've never been to school.
Question 5: What are Daemon battles?
In Lyra's world, daemons engage in friendly battles sometimes. So here you can battle your daemons, battles will last usually for about 6 posts. Then us bystanders will judge you and decide who wins. There are stakes for whoever the winner is, they win the stakes. Oh and if you godmodel you're automatically disqualified, so the lesson is don't godmodel.
Question 6: What if I like "bending the rules?"
Well first of all you and I are not going to get along very well. Anyway for a minor offense you'll get a warning. It's just like in school, you get three warnings you get banned for a day. For every major offense you commit you get a day banned unless Spottedstorm (our admin) says otherwise. Five major offenses will get you banned for a month. If you do it again then let's just say adios to you, you're banned forever. So all and all don't "bend the rules."
